2024 - Week 3 Waiver Wire

Week 2 has wrapped and we're getting back on track with Week 3's Waiver Wire. Let's see who could make an immediate impact on your squad:

  1. Tutu Atwell WR Los Angeles Rams The Los Angeles Rams Wide Receivers are going down like flies, and that is concerning for gunslinger Matthew Stafford. His top two targets from last year - Kupp and Nacua - are currently dealing with multi-week injuries while Tyler Higbee rehabs his knee injury from last year still. Tutu Atwell is one of the only familiar faces left in the huddle with Stafford, next to Kyren Williams. Still - there's a lot to gain in LA right now. Atwell might be the biggest sleeper of them all.

  2. Michael Wilson WR Arizona Cardinals Kyler Murray threw the ball fantastically well last week, and Marvin Harrison Jr. found his way into the game plan. Whether that was scripted or Murray outgrew his temper tantrum, I'm not sure. Regardless, I'm still a fan of Wilson in deep leagues. He is rotating in at WR3 at worst, so he's still going to get plenty of snaps and a handful of targets. He won't steal you any games, but he will be a solid FLEX player down the stretch - especially if these injuries continue to spread around the league.

  3. Gardner Minshew QB Las Vegas Raiders I'm not really sure what to say about this guy. He's essentially Uncle Rico, but with results. He's now brought two franchises hope (Jacksonville, Indianapolis), not to mention the mullet he rocks brings all the good vibes. In all seriousness though, Minshew is outperforming expectations - but he's not a world beater by any means. Through 2 weeks he has 533 PaYds, 2 PaTDs, 2 INTs, 9 Sacks, and 4 rushing yards. You could argue Skylar Thompson or Malik Willis could slot in here also, but I feel you're looking at similar outputs on the scoresheet.

  4. D'onta Foreman RB Cleveland Browns The former Bears RB is finding his stride in Cleveland... only because he's outperforming expectations compared to Jerome Ford who's struggling to meet expectations. His workload is increasing, but he has yet to outpace Ford in any category. While Chubb continues to rehab, Foreman could cut out more of a role on this offense - especially since DeShaun Watson is struggling to football.

  5. Cam Akers RB Houston Texans This is more of a band-aid replacement. Akers is filling in for Joe Mixon, who is competing with Dameon Pierce for the job (but is also nursing an injury). Akers played the preseason in Houston before being cut and resigned to the practice squad... so unless you need a running back THIS WEEK, it won't do you much good. But RB1 reps is RB1 reps, and they're playing Minnesota...
