2024 - Week 4 Waiver Wire

Updated: Oct 4, 2024

Another week down, and our waiver wire is getting thin already. That's mostly due to the injury bug, but still... it's uneasy seeing such limited options so early on in the season. Speaking of, here's who's still available...

  1. Wan'Dale Robinson WR New York Giants

The New York Giants are not a good football team. But Robinson has emerged as the clear #1. What does that mean? His target share for the season will be through the roof. Through three games, Robinson has 24 targets with 15 catches. Here's the caveat - he only has 123yds and 1TD. We'll see how long the volume will hold, but he's definitely an intriguing pickup.

  2. Andy Dalton QB Carolina Panthers

Dalton was named QB1 over Bryce Young and in his first start since Week 3 of 2024, the Panthers not only looked halfway decent - they won. Nothing dramatic, 26/37 for 319yds, 3TD. I'm not saying you NEED Dalton. But he put up better numbers than some starters, let alone backups...

  1. Tutu Atwell WR Los Angeles Rams

Atwell has a history with Stafford, and with Nacua and Kupp sidelined for a few weeks - Tutu might slide into the Rams game plan more seamlessly than we think. Tutu saw five targets with four catches, 93yds last week. Flashing back to last year's start of the season (when the Rams were lacking Kupp), Tutu had a line of 40 targets for 24 catches, 279yds and 2TD in the first five weeks. Just... throwing that out there.

  2. Jalen Nailor WR Minnesota Vikings

Lots of "fantasy experts" are saying Nailor stock should die down because Jordan Addison is expected to return - but I'm on the opposite side of this train. This is my buy-now window on Nailor... if you have a roster spot available. With T.J. Hockenson still out, Nailor has proven to be a viable asset to this offense. He wouldn't be a 'mouth to feed', but he could become a viable asset if Hockenson's timeline hits any delays.

  3. Miles Sanders RB Carolina Panthers

I'm not sure what to put here other than he's the 1B in Carolina. Chuba will get tired eventually, although you may see some more success in the passing game with Andy Dalton under center. I probably wouldn't do this... but it's an option.

  4. Emanuel Wilson RB Green Bay Packers

Wilson earned his spot was RB2 behind Josh Jacobs, but he's not in a "1A/1B" relationship like some RB duos we see. His 12 carries for 50yds, along with two catches for a TD last week might be fools gold - but having an RB Handcuff in a deep league with limited resources on the waiver wire might be the play. Jury's still out on whether he's a good back or in a good situation - regardless, it's worth considering.
